About

Shanrah WakefieldShanrah is an Australian actress, producer and all-round lover of the arts and new media. She grew up in country Victoria and moved to Melbourne aged 17, where she commenced a double degree in Law and Arts at Monash University – graduating in 2008. During her studies, Shanrah wrote for the student newspaper and learned to draft great contracts, but was all the while pursuing her primary passion: acting. A year’s break from her studies saw her backpacking the backroads of the world. Then she found LA, and settled into a stint of full time study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute.

In film and television, Shanrah has most recently worked on Aussie ABC TV series “The Librarians”, starred in indie films such as award-winning “Alona White Wash”, as well as numerous TVC’s.

In theatre of late, she has played leads in plays such as Neil Labute’s “Autobahn” and John Patrick Shanley’s “Four Dogs and a Bone”.

But it’s her work in new media that you’re perhaps most likely to have stumbled across lately. Shanrah starred in and co-produced Australia’s first social webseries, “OzGirl”, playing the narcissistic Megan Brown. Currently, Shanrah is co-producing and writing two other web projects, both of which are soon to be revealed.
